Why was Sangar Started?
The president of Sangar Cargo Security, John Glavin, had a vision that "In ten years there will be a Sangar Cargo Security bar-code on every trailer in the U.S." Prevention is the best solution when fighting cargo theft. A unified effort across the board will help to alleviate the cargo theft crime industry. Sangar is committed to defending it's customers against this type of crime.
How Do I Register to use the Lot?
Use the Registration Form under the Services Tab or call 1-800-216-4152 - we will be happy to help. (Use the Registration Form after normal business hours and we will contact you immediately.)
How does it work?
Drivers can pull up to any convenient Sangar Cargo Security location where you will be greeted by our Guard/Security Staff who will scan the trailer in the system for a quick process. Each driver must show identification and produce the bill of ladings, which is filed for safe keeping.
Each trailer is locked with a high security lock if it is loaded, and checked if it is empty. The trailer is dropped off at a designated safe and secure slot. The drivers are instructed to leave within a certain time period, which is also part of the security process. When a driver picks up the trailer, the driver must show identification and documentation as to what trailer they are picking up. Once the driver is exiting the location, the guard verify the paperwork and remove the lock. Guard staff monitor all sections of the yard at all times, and high definition surveillance cameras are on site as well.
Where is the corporate office?
Near Orlando Florida but our sites are located throughout the US. Someone is always available through the Registration Form if you would like to speak with someone immediately.
Can I work on my Truck/Trailer while on site?
This must be approved through headquarters prior. Please bring all requests to your Account Manager and we will accommodate you to the best of our ability.
Can I stay with my trailer?
No, at all times, other than pick up or drop off, NO ONE is allowed to remain in the yard. This is for your safety and the security of your property.
How close is a truck stop or motel?
All the Sangar Cargo Security sites are located near lodging and truck stops for your convenience. Upon exiting the lot, ask your Sangar Guard for the lodging and gas locations guide. This guide will also provide deals and discounts at partnering truck stops.
Who do I call if I have a problem or questions?
After the initial account set up, you will receive the contact information to your account manager. Keep this information with you and your drivers for easy access to our team members. You can always use the 1-800-216-4152 number as well and the Registration Form under the Services Button will send your information to an Customer Service Representative 24/7.
How much does it cost?
Each site varies from location to location. There are multi-site and multiple trailer packages as well. Please use the Registration Form under the Services Button or the Contact Page. Someone will contact you shortly to discuss pricing that fits your budget and needs.
